Bianca Schippers Talent Program
When graduates consider what they want to do after completing their university education, they are faced with an abundance of options. The same was true for Bianca, originally from Germany. From a recent graduate at VU University to a confident Scrum Master, this is her journey.

How the Talent Program Transformed My Career

When I first learned about the Prowareness Talent Program, I had just graduated from VU University in Amsterdam, specializing in Leadership and Change Management. My background was mainly focused on intercultural management, and I had some experience in the recruitment sector. The technical world was new to me, and honestly, I never imagined I would end up working in IT or at a bank.

First Encounter with Scrum

It was at a career fair organized by a student organization that I first came into contact with the concept of Scrum and the role of the Scrum Master. Although I initially hesitated because of the Dutch language barrier, I decided to go anyway. And I am so glad that I did.

The Power of Group Dynamics

The Prowareness Talent Program is not just a training program. From day one, you are immersed in in-depth discussions and activities that go beyond the usual introductions. One of the standout features of the Talent Program is the group dynamics. Trainees are not isolated; they begin this journey as a close-knit unit. I really appreciated going through the same movements and processes together as a group. This group setting fosters a sense of camaraderie, allowing trainees to share experiences, challenges, and insights.

Personal Growth and Leadership

What I value most about the program is its focus on people. As a Scrum Master, it is essential to be a servant leader, and this requires a certain level of vulnerability and introspection. The Talent Program encouraged me to look deeper within myself and understand how I could be effective in my role.

Team Transformation

One of the most rewarding aspects was witnessing the transformation within my team. When I started at Rabobank, I was told I would be working with a “difficult” team. But with time, patience, and the skills I developed, I saw how the team began to believe in the Scrum process and recognize its value.

Say 'Yes!' to the Prowareness Talent Program

For anyone considering joining the Prowareness Talent Program, I would say: do it. It is not only an opportunity to learn new skills, but also to grow personally and make an impact in the world of Agile and Scrum.
